Caffe Milano is the latest addition at Union Group specialized in traditional Italian food.
The concept of Caffe Milano is a classic and traditional Milanese trattoria, that’s why the interior is quite simple, homy yet rustic at the same time. To accompany the Italian food, Caffe Milano also serves classic cocktails and wide range of wine selection. It is located inside Central department store ground floor with indoor & outdoor area. If you want to visit on Weekend, AnakJajan recommend you to make a reservation first since this restaurant is packed during weekend.
Fresh Puglia Burrata IDR 175k
For antipasti or appetizer, AnakJajan had a classic Burrata cheese served with fresh tomato, basil and extra virgin olive oil. It was a very fresh and light dish, perfect choice to start our dinner.
Milano Iced Latte IDR 75k
Italian is famous with their coffee and Milano Ice Latte is a must order. It is an iced latte with a unique twist because they use espresso ice cubes instead of regular ice cubes and served it with a bottle of milk so you won’t end up with watery iced latte.
Homemade Casoncei IDR 125k
Homemade pasta filled with minced pork and seasoned with pancetta, butter and sage. This is one of the most recommended pasta, the pasta itself was unique and cooked al dente while the filling inside was very very juicy.
Quattro Formaggi IDR 125k
Homemade pizza with four types of cheese mozarella, fontina, taleggio and gorgonzola. Very cheesy, rich and perfect for cheese lovers.
Cannoli Siciliani IDR 70k
Cannoli is a traditional Sicilian pastry dessert and it is kinda hard to find it in Jakarta. That’s why AnakJajan immediately ordered this menu when we found out that Caffe Milano has it. It is tube-shaped shells of fried pastry dough filled with sweet cream filling made from riccota cheese. The cream filling at Caffe Milano has chocolate chips and they added orange peel in it to give some flavor balance so it won’t taste too heavy.
Overall, AnakJajan love how Chef Luca Pezzera keeps the Italian dish at Caffe Milano classic and traditional. Now everyone can have your traditional Italian food at Grand Indonesia. Let’s Jajan!!
