Time for dessert post!! Kyo Roll En is a famous Kyoto Lifestyle Dessert Cafe specialized in Japanese Matcha Softcream and Roll cake at Bangkok, Thailand.
Last July 2014, AnakJajan visited Thailand and Krabi, there are many places that we want to share with you such as magnificent Santorini Park and Palio Khao Yai, tasty food and dessert we had, shopping tips, etc. But this time I’m gonna write about my favorite dessert cafe at Bangkok, that is Kyo En Roll.
Kyo Roll En is a dessert cafe, that’s why you can only find sweet menus here, most of the menus are matcha based dessert, but they also provide non matcha based dessert such as fruit, black sesame or chocolate dessert.
Dessert selection: Parfait, Roll Cake, Soft Cream, Roll Cake + Soft Cream set, Kakigori (shaved ice with toppings and ice cream), Anmitsu, Cone Parfait, Monaga (wafer with ice cream filling), Iced Matcha, Matcha Frost, Matcha Latte with price range from THB 89 – THB 169 ( 1 THailand Bath = ±IDR 360, July 2014).
Kyo Roll En is manage by Kacha Brothers, the same company who manage SFree, Pastel, Aldy’s Coffee Life, etc. Currently Kyo Roll En has 7 outlets and we visited Siam SQ1 (Square 1 ) branch. This cafe is really popular, it was packed during dinner time and we have to queue for a while.
Roll cake cost THB 399 – THB 489 per roll or THB 85 – THB 105 per slice, you can also order this roll cake for take away but minimum order is 4 pcs (for take away).

Chocolate Matcha Roll, Charcoal Matcha twist soft cream, Matcha Nama Chocolate, Fresh Fruit and Matcha Sauce
SUPER RECOMMENDED!! This is probably one of THE BEST JAPANESE ROLL CAKE AnakJajan have ever tasted. Sooo soft spongy fluffy yet moist and rich, so good it’s hard to describe (fyi, our famous Japanese roll cake at Pantai Indah Kapuk R*ti-R*ti is not nothing compared to this one). Soft cream was also quite impressive with strong and rich Japanese matcha green tea flavor. AnakJajan suggest you to order full Matcha softcream instead of twist one because the black charcoal one taste like ordinary vanilla softcream.
Chocolate Melt THB 159 (around IDR 58k)
70% Belgian Chocolate Ice Cream, Dark Chocolate Mousse, Berry Sauce, Almond and Pistachio
Delicious glass of intense dark chocolate dessert. AnakJajan really love the combination between these ingredients resulting bittersweet yet tangy fruity flavor plus soft, moist, melting and crunchy texture sensation in one bite.
Overall AnakJajan loveeeeee our dessert at Kyo Roll En, presentation was lovely, taste was delightful and price wise was reasonable. Recommended!! Let’s Travel and Jajan!!
