A while ago, AnakJajan and foodie friends planned to go to the Jakarta Fashion Food Festival (JFFF) at Kelapa Gading but before that we want to chill & hangout somewhere else first so I immediately suggest Kosenda Hotel knowing that the cafe & restaurant are quite happening with nice interior.
The moment AnakJajan stepped in, the moment AnakJajan fell in love with it. The atmosphere was really calm and soothing with dimmed light, soothing sound from water fountain, nice music and interior. Staffs was also very polite and friendly, all of the sofa was occupied when we arrived but luckily after a while some of the customer leave, knowing that I want to sit at the sofa the staff immediately told me to move there.
Open for 24 hours daily, 127 Cafe and Waha Kitchen located side by side, you can order both menu from both area. Designed for dining Waha Kitchen uses dining table & chair with high ceiling, huge window with mural drawing behind it.
For breakfast Waha Kitchen serves Melbourne and Local breakfast menu from 06.00-11.00 IDR 59k – 95k. While Dinner – lunch 11.00-23.00 and Supper 23.00-06.00 available with mostly Asian ‘Peranakan’ cuisine for IDR 57 – 172k.
The arrangement at 127 Cafe was really lovely and homy with huge and fluffy couch, retro looking furniture and huge window with bamboo plant behind it.
127 Cafe has quite a lot of drink selection such as coffee, cocktail, tea, healthy juice, milkshake, soft drink, martini, liquour & spirit, vodka, whisky and bourbon from IDR 35k – 269k. AnakJajan ordered Bobo Coffee IDR 48k consist of double espresso, kahlua, tiramisu flavor and whipped cream and What’s Up coffee IDR 48k consist of espresso, fresh milk and caramel syrup. Both coffee was quite good.
Overall, this place is really special because it makes me feel like home, an ambiance you cannot find easily in Jakarta. Besides, Waha Kitchen and 127 Cafe, Kosenda Hotel also has rooftop bar surrounded by garden called Awan Lounge opens from 17.00 till 01.00-02.00 everyday serving Asian Tapas BBQ, cocktail and beer.
