Two weeks ago, AnakJajan met Gracia – Social Media Officer from Gandaria City and she brought us to try some new places to eat at Gandaria City Mall. There are several new F&B tenants including Chippy Happy Food. Chippy Happy Food is a famous snack shop at Singapore serving finger food or street food a la British and now they have opened their first branch in Indonesia – Gandaria City Mall.
Located at Lower Ground near Lotte Mart, it’s easy to find Chippy Happy Food, you just need to spot a food truck with UK flag pattern.
Using 100% natural ingredients, at this moment there are 4 types of snacks available in Chippy Happy Food: B.F.F (Battered Fish and Fries) IDR 36k, Crumbed Calamari IDR 36k, Curry Chicken IDR 32k and Fried Chocolate IDR 27k (S) / IDR 36k (L), soon they also will add another menu such as Cheese Sausage and Mash or maybe some rice set menu.
Chippy Happy Food provides some condiments: chili sauce, tomato sauce and vinegar for free or you can order additional dipping sauce such as mayonnaise, tartare or cheddar cheese for IDR 4.5k, all of the sauces are homemade.
B.F.F (Battered Fish and Fries) IDR 36k
Fish and chips was really good, the batter was very light yet crispy and not greasy while the fish inside was smooth and juicy. Dip it with tartare sauce to elevate the taste.
Curry Chicken IDR 32k
Curry chicken was okay for me, chicken was juicy with mild curry seasoning.
Fried Chocolate IDR 27k (S) / IDR 36k (L)
Actually at Singapore they use Mars Bars for the fried chocolate but since this product (Mars bars) is not available here in Indonesia, they replace it with another chocolate product. But we have nothing to complain since it tasted really GOOD and addicting!! I just cannot stop myself to keep on scooping it. Combination between crunchy outside and melting inside hot chocolate with creamy cold ice cream are just perfect.
Overall food at Chippy Happy Food are pretty decent and filling, AnakJajan really like their Fried Chocolate. We heard that soon they will open another outlet at Kota Kasablanka Mall, so get ready and Let’s Jajan!!
