Rooftop swimming pool and sundeck
Last month was AnakJajan anniversary along with Mr.Jajan birthday and we are so lucky to get a two days one night invitation from Hilton Bandung. Sooo this time we are gonna share you our sweet escape experience to Hilton Bandung, and don’t worry lot’s of yummy and delicious food at Hilton Bandung also will be featured in this post.

We started our trip Saturday morning from Jakarta using mini bus from Blue Bird Group prepared by Hilton Bandung, the trip was smooth, comfortable and we reach Bandung within 2 hours.

Hilton Bandung is located in the center of Bandung near the famous Pasir Kaliki street at Bandung (walking distance) and just 10 minutes away from Bandung International Airport.

The signature 360-degree spiral staircase
The hotel has a contemporary and modern interior. Once you enter the lobby area, you can see their signature 360-degrees spiral staircase. The check-in process was prompt and the staff was friendly.
The 2 Queen Deluxe Room was spacious and have a huge window opening complete with a comfy bed, huge TV, large desk with ergonomic chair, and marble bathroom with relaxing rain shower, perfect combination making me not wanting to leave the room to do anything anymore. Our room also by chance having a great view facing to their rooftop swimming pool.

21 March 2014 was Hilton Bandung 5th anniversary, and they are having High Five Asian Culinary Summit, showcasing Asia’s top cuisines by 5 guest chefs from the sister hotels in China, Japan, Korea, India, and Thailand from 15 to 23 March 2014 and we are so lucky being able to meet the chefs and trying their dish.

Chef’s Table at Kitchen is really a new experience for AnakJajan because we can experience eating in the kitchen, chit chat with the chefs and watching the chefs live in action cooking our meal.

For appetizer we had Poached Salmon, Chilli and Honey Lemon Vinaigrete & Crusted Herb Tuna. This is the perfect starter, the fish was cooked perfectly, fresh and tender with refreshing sweet and sour dressing.

Intermediate Course – Lemon Sorbet
For the main course, we are having two signature dishes from two of the restaurant at Hilton Bandung.
First one is Purnawarman Restaurant’s signature dish, Pindang Iga. The beef ribs was grilled to perfection and tender with Indonesian spicy seasoning, paired with rice and tasteful mouthwatering ‘pindang’ sauce. SOOOO GOOD!! I CRIED!!
The second is Homemade Pasta “Papardele” with creamy mushroom sauce and stuffed chicken, this one is the signature dish from Fresco Restaurant.

To finish the Chef’s Table lunch, we had their signature freshly baked from the oven Chocolate Fondant with runny ‘melty’ rich chocolate inside. Heaven!!

After meal, we went to Floating Market Lembang, the new ‘hip’ family outing place in Bandung. Floating Market Lembang is a definite ‘one stop entertainment’ place for family with a lot of attraction where you can enjoy lot’s of delicious food , walking around enjoying the scenery and fresh air, playing with rabbit/fish/goose, strawberry picking, etc. Will write a detailed review about Floating Market Lembang in another post.

Outdoor area at Purnawarman Buffet Restaurant
Purnawarman Restaurant is the all-day dining venue at at the Hilton Bandung hotel, you can have buffet breakfast, a la carte lunch and buffer dinner here where you can have lot’s of Asian delicacies. The Restaurant itself was spacious and offer a lot of variety of food to choose. We felt in love with the outdoor area, it is our perfect spot to enjoy breakfast with the fresh morning breeze. The Pindang Iga I had from the ‘chef’s table’ is also one of the signature menu here at Purnawarman.

FRESCO RESTAURANT
If you are looking for more international flavor, then Fresco Restaurant is the perfect choice for you to enjoy your meal paired with glass of wine. The restaurant has a huge opening facing their stunning rooftop swimming pool and sundeck. At first I thought that I will be hot because there is no air conditioner and we are having lunch there, but I was wrong, I can feel the fresh Bandung breeze all the time during my lunch there.

The food itself was also superb, I had Pan Seared Sea Bass served with baby pok choy and creamy clam chowder, fish was perfectly cooked with super crunchy skin which I love so much.
