Pasar Senggol is held for 24 days from 24 April till 17 May 2015, the opening hours are Monday – Friday 16.00 till 22.00, Saturday – Sunday and public holiday 11.00 till 23.00.. AnakJajan visited Pasar Senggol last week for an InstaMeetUp and sharing session to share some tips about how to take instagenic food picture for instagram. We were pleasantly surprised and glad to see the enthusiasm from participants. It was such an awesome experience and we are very grateful for this opportunity.
Pasar Senggol is a culinary feast event wrapped in Funfair concept held by Summarecon Mal Bekasi annually and this year is the 2nd time of the event. With wider range of food variety, Pasar Senggol theme this year is “Jelajah Kuliner Mancanegara” full with culinary from all over the World (eastern & western) and Indonesia. The event is located at the huge west outdoor parking area in front of The Downtown Walk where you can find 77 total of culinary tenant from booth, cart till food truck.
The area is very spacious thus making us more convenient walking around. Talking about the decoration and ambiance, we just love how colorful and fun they decorate the booth resembling buildings all over country and the world.
Basically there are 5 main area of food which are eastern, western, Indonesian, food trucks and food carts where you can find endless food selection from western to eastern, appetizer to main course and traditional to modern such as Corndogs, Pizza Cone, Martabak Terang Bulan Holland, Bakso Bakwan Cak Uban Malang, Gudeg Laminten Yogya, classic red bean ice from Palembang, Ice cream from Singapore, etc. Sounds delicious isn’t it?! Fyi, once you enter Pasar Senggol area you need to change your money with Pasar Senggol coupon that looks like old school money from the past at the cashier booth in order to buy things there.
Besides culinary feast, you can also enjoy Funfair amusement such as segway, mini train, water ball & hand boat, kora-kora, etc. For movie lovers, Pasar Senggol also provides 5D Cinema where you can watch various adventure movie with special effects that will definitely make you feel like you are in the movie scene.
At the front area you will find a huge stage where various of art performances are held to entertain visitors such as Badut Enggrang & Juggler, Capoeira, Fireman, Brazillian, India, Hip Hop Dance, Tari Jaipong, Kandang Jurank Dik Doank Percussion serta hiburan Jempol Jentrik Musik Keroncong feat.
