Tang Yuan is an Asian dessert café, they offer plentiful of dessert selection inspired by desserts all over Asia from cold to hot, and also various drinks selection. Savory appetizer, snacks and meals also available to accompany the desserts.
Tang Yuan is located at Tanjung Duren Raya street, you can easily spot their shop from their catchy Orange & Blue signage. The interior inside is really cozy and bright with light wooden furniture, AnakJajan really love their huge huge window opening, making us easier to take picture under natural light.
Flan de Leche (Caramel Pudding) IDR 17k
This soft silky caramel pudding with brown sugar sauce is just too kawaii to be eaten. I got mine with panda shaped, they also have kitten version of this pudding.
Mango Freeze IDR 19k, Mellow Milo IDR 20k, Matcha Milk Tea IDR 20k, Honeydew Milk Tea IDR 19k, Taro Milk Tea IDR 20k, Strawberry Freeze IDR 19k
All drinks already included (except Thai Iced tea) with one toppings and the sweetness level can be adjusted. My personal favorite would be the kawaii Mellow Milo, chocolaty milo drink topped with fluffy marshmallow and milo powder.
You can choose or request additional toppings also, Tang Yuan has sooo many toppings selection such as egg pudding, boba, popping boba, grass jelly, jelly cubes, etc.
Xing Fu (Milk) IDR 38k
Huge portion of Taiwanese dessert consist of grass jelly, taro pudding, egg pudding, mochi, red bean, black sticky rice (zimi), mung bean, Q balls, milk and topped with one scoop of ice cream. The toppings are very generous and consist of so many texture combination and flavors, silky smooth, chewy, springy yet creamy at the same time. Fyi, if you do not like milk, you can order Soy milk version.
Mini Martabak Silver IDR 12.5k (chocolate/ cheese/ nut topping), Gold IDR 17.5k (nutella/ oreo/ marshmallow topping), Platinum IDR 20k (ovomaltine topping)
Martabak is an Indonesian version of pancake and you can find smaller version of it here. Basically there are five choices of martabak flavor, original, green tea, pandan, taro and red velvet. As for the toppings you can have maximum 2 toppings of your selection.
Durian Shaved Ice IDR 36k
Shaved ice with durian flesh, jelly cubes, topped with durian ice cream and condensed milk. Durian heaven in my mouth!!
Halo Halo Fruits IDR 38k
Inspired by Halo Halo mixed ice from Philippine, Tang Yuan created their own version of Halo Halo. They have two options of Halo Halo, beans or fruits. AnakJajan had the fruits version. The dessert consist of layers of egg pudding, taro pudding, jack fruits, nata de coco, shaved ice and topped with taro ice cream. Major love the taro ice cream!! It has this unique yet interesting aroma and flavor, goes really well with every ingredients. Must try!
Ginger Tang Yuan IDR 20k
A bowl of warm and comforting ginger soup with sweet potatoes, glutinous rice balls with three different fillings peanut, red bean and mung bean. Perfect hot dessert for rainy days.
HongKong Style French Toast IDR 30k
Soft fluffy peanut buttered French toast topped with honey and butter. Love the sweet yet savory flavor combination from the honey, butter and peanut butter.
Thai Cassava IDR 12k
This signature dessert from Thailand also available at Tang Yuan. It is a sweet cassava covered in thick savory coconut milk sauce. The cassava was very soft tender and not overly sweet.
Overall Tang Yuan definitely is a heaven for sweetooth or dessert lovers. They have various desserts all over Asia and not to mention the affordable price. Besides the menu on the above, they still have sooo many other desserts we haven’t try yet, looking forward for another visit. Let’s Jajan!!
