BIG NEWS!! IKEA is finally open its first outlet in Indonesia at Alam Sutera – Tangerang since 15th Oct 2014.
Located at Alam Sutera area near Alam Sutera Mall and Alam Sutera toll road exit/ entrance. Most of you might already know that IKEA is world’s largest furniture retailer that designs and sells ready-to-assemble modern style furniture, appliances and home accessories. And having lot’s of fans from Indonesia, no wonder the first day of its opening in Alam Sutera – Indonesia, large amount of visitors have waited on the outside even before it opens.
Being super excited and curious with IKEA Indonesia I finally dragged Mr. Jajan along with my sis to visit IKEA thursday night, yup on the 2nd day of its opening around 19.30. Parking space are spacious and not full during our visit. We heard that during lunch time the crowd are crazy until they have to park outside the building. Btw, free parking here.
What’s available inside IKEA Indonesia – Alam Sutera?? Let me take you tour around. IKEA is built on a very very extensive land area, it consist of three stores. Basement for parking (outdoor parking area also available).
First floor consist of market hall, bistro, Swedish food market and self service furniture area.
Tips:
1. Wear comfortable shoes because your trip to IKEA will require you to walk a lot because this place is freaking spacious!!
2. IKEA provides locker for visitors, it is located on the left side (in front of toilet) from the main entrance, you can put your belongings inside it.
And last the second floor is where the cafeteria located along with the showroom. The cafeteria wass super packed but the queue still manageable for me, it took us around 15-20 minutes queuing. I’m actually disappointed because unlike the first day, they are now serving the food with paper plates and boiled & mashed potato also not available resulting all of our orders are served with french fries.

My oh my me, Mr. Jajan and sis are sucker when it comes to a store just like IKEA, love love loveeee how well they decor and arrange the showroom making us want to buy almost every single thing here.
Had so much fun and super excited to share with you as soon as possible that’s why I wrote this post immediately after coming back from IKEA. There are still a lot of photos and stories I’m gonna update and share with you in this post, will update this post soon. Nite2 :)
