AnakJajan stayed at The Peninsula Manila for 3 nights. The Peninsula Manila is a 5-star hotel located on the corner of Ayala Avenue and Makati Avenue in the central business district of Makati City – Metro Manila.
Known as “Jewel in the Capital’s Crown”, The Peninsula Manila has become one of the landmark in Metro Manila because of this majestic fountain in front of hotel.
Distance from (NAIA) Ninoy Aquino International Airport is 9km only from this hotel, it took us around 15 minutes car ride.
For you who love to shop, lot’s of shopping centre are located near this hotel within walking distance for example Ayala Shopping Centre, Glorietta Mall and Greenbelt Mall Makati.
Lobby area inside this hotel also indescribable gorgeous with its high ceiling, palm trees and huge sun resemblance showpiece in the ceiling to portray the unique tropical island of the Philippine.
AnakJajan stayed at Deluxe Room facing panoramic view of Makati city. For a person who do not fall asleep easily, comfy bed and soft pillows were succeeded in making me sleep soundly.
Oscar de la Renta Bath Amenities is all yours when you are staying in this hotel baby!!
Wifi access was fast, I heard that that installed one modem for each room. Remember to bring plug adapter because Philippines has 3 kinds of plug socket types A / B / C.
Every morning, breakfast is provided at Escolta, a buffet restaurant inside hotel.
Escolta serves international buffet menu with extensive selection starting from freshly baked bread, croissant, English breakfast, sashimi, waffle, fresh juice, oats, infused water, dimsum, Filipino food, etc.
During my stay at The Peninsula Manila, due to its high occupancy they extend the buffet area to The Lobby, having breakfast while enjoying the lovely details from the lobby area is such a feast for the eyes and belly.
Most of the food Anakjajan tried are pretty good and tasty. I enjoyed the freshly baked croissant & pastry a lot.
One thing that I never miss every morning is their ice cream section, they have plentiful flavor selection but the ultimate one that you MUST HAVE is the purple yam or Ube ice cream flavor.
This purple-ish color ice cream is a signature ice cream of Philippines called Ube ice cream made by using purple yam. The taste itself is somewhere between sweet potato and taro flavor, very nice and recommended!
You can enjoy the ice cream with plentiful toppings selection or paired it with freshly made by order hot waffle.
Overall, The Peninsula Manila is an absolute choice when it comes to a luxury, sophisticated yet homy place to stay in the central business district of Makati City – Manila. Big thanks to Cebu Pacific Air for choosing this hotel and for this whole amazing trip to Philippines. Let’s Travel!!
